I am seriously considering homeschooling but my husband is against it totally. I am not happy with our schools in the area and have some college ( years ago) in elementary education. I want to do what is best for my 5 yr old. She resists listening but is a great kid. She is smart and is ahead of the class in preschool. She does really well there. Where do I start and is there going to be a learing issue with her listening problem ( she basically fights me when asked to do something). I also don't want her to miss out on anything. We live in a small city with not alot of resources and homeschooling families. HELP!! |

I understand your desire to homeschool and give your daughter the best education she can have. But the lack of support from your husband and the listening problem with your daughter will probably make your homeschooling journey an uphill battle. Homeschooling is a challenging adventure on good days.
I found that if your child doesn't listen to you in other matters outside of academics, trouble with arise with the academics as well.
I would cover this matter with prayer for wisdom and discernment in making such an important decision.
What causes your husband's lack of support? Does your daughter want to be homeschooled? |
