Hey there everyone!!! I am sooooooo stinking glad I found this site... I have been chatting on another forum but the homeschooling section is not very active..
Well a little about our family. I am a 30 year old SAHM and full time college student, trying to pursue a nursing degree. My kids are 4 years old and 2 years old.
We knew before we had children we wanted to homeschool.. Since having them I have researched and read so many things about homeschooling. I joined our local homeschool group for my county, but I have not actually attended anything just yet, since my boys are young.
DS#1 is high maintenance, he has LOTS of food allergies. That being said we did not want to have to put him in regular school and have problems keeping his diet in check. Alot of his behavior problems were caused by foods.. Since getting him off alot of things he has really improved. He is the active learner in the family. He says things that most 4 year old I don't think say.
My 2 year old is totally opposite... Calm and cool.. Does not care to much what you do, as long as he as food and drink LOL.
So type of homeschooling I want to do? I am not Christian, so the typical Christian curriculum won't do. We plan on doing child led learning and some book works. I would not call it unschooling since my kids never been in school.
Looking forward to learning more about homeschooling on this forum! _________________ SAHM to 2 wonderful boys 4 and 2 preparing my self to homeschool them... All along attending college myself. |

I think it's great that you are doing research and planning ahead of time. That will be so helpful. I believe that you and your boys will love homeschooling! Welcome to the forum! _________________ Laura L. Barth
