HI everyone!
Well, now that the school year is almost ending, we're in a routine, finally! This is what works best for our four children, since this is our first year hs:
Mondays/Wednesdays about 10 am -12:30 pm, sometimes Fridays Language; which includes Phonics, Writing, and Reading.
Tuesdays/Thursdays about 10 am-12:30 pm Math and Cursive.
Field Trips sometimes on Wed. or Fridays.
In the afternoon, we provide:
Science, History, Geography, Music, Bible, and Literature, Cooking, and Sewing;
by watching historical fiction dvd's, reading good books to them, letting our kids play the piano, they read favorite books to us, and we provide lots of opportunities to cook, sew, care for animals, visit people with special needs, etc.
I'm really surprised at how they will naturally gravitate toward their interests and teach themselves the 'other subjects'. I'd love to hear your experiences _________________ Wendi:-)
