I'm in love with 80s music!
But I also like bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and most other rock bands. I see some in the list above that I don't mind...

Newsboys (favorite!), Casting Crowns, Chris Thomlin, Newsong, Point Of Grace, Big Daddy Weave, Jars of Clay, Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp,
Barlowgirl (love them), Relient K, Third Day, Avalon, Nichole Nordeman,
MercyMe, chris Rice, Todd Agnew, Building 429, FFH, Jennifer Knap, Natalie Grant, Sarah Groves, Hillsong, to mention a few! lol..
we love music.

lots of kids are in love with miley cyrus right now... but if i had my way, i'd let the kids listen to jazz, bossa nova, classical music, probably when their older, have them listen to rock n roll...
