My name is Cari and I have three kids. My daughter is 5 years old and I have two sons, 2 years old and 7 months old. My husband is in the US Army and I sell candles. I have decided to homeschool for alot of different reasons. Its not out of the blue, before I even had kids I said I would homeschool, but things just seemed to get in the way. She gets sick alot and gets phantom fevers, with not other apparent symptoms. She has been acting out more and more and not listening added to being rude. She has come home singing who killed cocky robins. I don't feel my 5 year old should be learning about killing, even if Daddy is in the Army. I have found the program I want to go through and am trying to decide whether or not to wait on Christmas break to pull her out of school and start the deschooling process or to do it now. My husband was homeschooled by his mom and I went to a public school. I think thats about all for now, lol.

welcome and I hope we can help
I took my children out after school was out, it was nice to just not go back after summer was over. If it isn't an emergency it's nice to make a clean break. Just not go back after Christmas. Let her deschooling be with her presents, and it will be a little more natural.
