History and Geography - What do I need?

Postby HSing for Christ » Thu May 17, 2007 11:50 am

I have everything else picked out, but when it comes to this, I'm not finding anything that has "That special something". What are you using? I do want a Christ based curriculum. Thanks for any help you can throw my way.

We have used AOP LifePacs for Hist/Geo for 2 years now. We have no complaints, thus far. Unit Studies seem to work well for us. My 5th grader has studied American History this year, beginning with the first colonies all the way to Vietnam War, and so on. The curriculum is void of any liberal or conservative slant. It paints the picture showing the good and bad of either side. And "good and bad" is based upon Biblical principles, not any other agenda.

Hope this helps.

We've started using Mystery of History volume 1. It is pretty good for history and involves some geography in it. It can be used for various ages. Study biblical and world history in chronological order.

Thanks Vera.

Has anyone used BJU's Heritage Studies? If so what are the pros and cons? Thanks.
