I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am a stay at home mom to 3 kids. Ash (5 years), Willie (3 years), and Trish (7 months). We recently have made the choice to start homeschooling with the 2014-2015 school year. Ash is currently in Kindergarten and not doing as well as we hoped due to distractions. I spent half of the winter break working with her and her brother on "school work" and she did great! My son will be going to a preK program next year since he already has a spot and this will be our first year going into this full time with Ash. Once he gets into kindergarten, we plan to also homeschool him.

We are a young blended family. Ash is from a previous marriage and I recently married my best friend of 8 years and father to my younger 2 just 3.5 months ago. Our relationship and marriage started off rocky but we started putting our faith in God and things have been looking up for us since. I am lucky to be able to stay home with the kids even though we have to keep a tight budget but I am even more lucky to have the love and support from my husband to stay home and educate our children.

I am very eager to learn as much as I can to best educate my children and excited about taking this step with my family.

Hello L. You sound like you have an amazing family! It shows just how much you love them. I'm sure you'll do great with the little ones. How are you preparing? Have you picked a curriculum yet?

All the best!

I am resurching curriculum right now and cleaning out the room we will be using for school. I am leaning toward A Beka but also looking at ACE.
