hi! im doing research on a speech about homeschooling and i was just wondering if anyone knew where i could possibly find info on subjects like: when homeschooling became legal in the usa or illinois, which countries homeshcool, famous celebrities that homeschooled, and what percent of america homeschooles their children? those are the main questions i would like to answer, but i just need to know where to find the answer. somewhere on this site, maybe? i have no idea where to even start. thank you!!!!!!

You may find this thread useful on the topic of famous homeschoolers.
Homeschool law is left up to the individual states, so homeschooling became legal at different dates depending on which state you're talking about. You may be able to find info on the history of homeschooling in Illinois at one or more of the IL groups pages:

The homeschool Legal Defense website may have some info that would help. I'm not sure of the link, but you could try a search. If you can't find it, let me know and I think my husband might have it on his computer.

Remember the sitcom "Third Rock from the Sun"? I didn't actually watch it but, I did see an interview with one of the stars. I'm not sure what her name is but she was the leading female (supposed to be an alien), tall, long sandy-blonde hair. Anyway she did say that she had been hs-d all the way through- I'm pretty sure. She also shared that she hadn't even watched TV until somewhere in her twenties. Maybe someone can recall her name. Not Jane Curtin.
