Hi everyone! I am new here. I just had a question regarding home schooling. My situation is that I am moving from one city to another. The place I will be living at the next couple of months will not be my permanent address nor will it be in the same school district that my daughter will eventually be in. She has already switched schools once and she is only 7 years old. I am wondering if I could or would be able to homeschool her for the remaining school year once I move. I just hate the thought of putting her into a new school for only a few months and then having her start at a new school next fall. Any information or suggestions would be wonderful. If anyone could tell me what the steps would be that would be great!!

No regulation of hs to speak of, so as far as I can tell, you don't have to notify anyone or do anything *unless* someone specifically asks you.

There is no mention of a required Letter of Intent (though it's a good idea to let the school know when you're pulling your kids out), required attendance is 180 days per year, and attendance records need to be kept in case the school superintendent asks to see them. There are however no required subjects, no required teacher qualifications, and you don't have to file attendance records or any other sort of record with the school board - you only have to send in attendance and the number of children "enrolled" if specifically requested to do so.
Indiana seems to be a pretty easy place to homeschool.
