Hi....I am sorry to hear that your child was bullied :(
I think everyone who went to a "public school" has had to deal with this one time or another..Thats one of the reasons why i homeschool my kids 8 & 3 <3

Starting out can be a bit nerve racking...but you will find once you figure out your state laws and find a curriculum that you like it will be pretty easy ;)

Hi Keri,

How long have you been homeschooling? Where do you live? Are your children happier since homeschooling? My son can't wait, he really dislikes going to school.
Thanks for your ideas and help.

Hey..Well We live in Sunny FLORIDA!!! B-)
We have been home-schooling about 4 yrs....I kinda always knew i would but when my dd was 4 she begged me to let her go to "public" school..so out of guilt i signed her up...
On her 1 st day i stayed with her..I wanted to make sure i liked the environment ect...At the end of the day i was so worried..how was i going to tell her she was not going back (DID NOT like the school or teachers) So i braced myself when i asked her ,How did you like it??? She was like mommy i dont want to go back...can we find another school?..I was soooo relived that she too didnt like it..So i said we will do school at home...
She is 8 now and she LOVES it!....
My only concern going in was my kids making friends, but its pretty easy to do that...between parks,home-school groups.,sports, church ect...that imo is the only thing that i could see a child would miss from a public school..but i mean in reality kids today hardly get to socialise...besides lunch and p.e. other then that their stuck in a desk being told to stop talking :(
we also have a son 3 who is home-schooling now aswell ;)
Another thing that has made a difference with our kids loving being home-schooled is we dont do a book curriculum..we use a online program Time4Learning which makes it feel more like a game or tv show..So that has made school for both of my kids very enjoyable :)
