Recipe for Reading Teacher’s Guide - $12 ($20 new)
This is a very good program for struggling readers from EPS. It follows a Ortin-Gillingham approach to teaching reading. There are 8 workbooks that you need for the student, along with the Teacher’s Guide. The workbooks are available from CBD for $9.50 each. It took my son one school year to complete all 8 books and took him from barely reading simple CVC words to almost grade-level reading.

Language Tool Kit Cards – $15
Grades K–5
This set contains 163 cards (4" x 6") in a white cardboard box. One group of cards has spelling units printed in large type on one side, with the common and rarer sound equivalents on the reverse side in small type. Key words and spelling patterns are also listed. The salmon-colored cards are for the teacher’s reference, and the yellow cards are for extra practice with consonant blends.
