theme discussion, anyone??

Postby mommyto2girls » Sat Jan 19, 2008 10:15 am

Who would be interested in us developing themes togther? May be we could start a new theme each week, and we can add all of our ideas in the thread...that should give us all wonderful ideas that we may not have thought of!

Some I can think of off the top of my head: farming, pets, transportation, garden, zoo, squirrels, seasons, I know there are many more!

If you are interested, indicate it here and we can start tomorrow or Monday!

Here is what came to mind.
Oceans & Seas, Rivers & Lakes, Space, Reptiles and Amphibians, Insects and Spiders, Mountains, Deserts, Jungles, Wet lands, etc.

I know of a website that has completely free themed worksheets, all you have to do is sign-up. I use it quite a bit. The website address is www.learningpage.com . It has Fact Files, Fun-sheets, Murals, Cutouts, Lesson Plans, Teacher Notes, and Recommended Reading Notes.

The website is recommended for Children in Pre-K through 3rd Grade.

I would love too. If my boys aren't interested at the time, I'm sure they will be. I love that about forums the information never really goes away, it is always there to retrieve.
