Testing Question in VA

Postby bennifer » Wed Nov 28, 2007 2:09 pm

My ds11 is in 6th grade. This is our first year hsing( loving every minute!) My concern, if you want to call it that, is that the state I live in, Virginia, requires us to administer a standardized test every year. I decided to use the CAT this year and ordered it from Setan. Just received it today and looked over it. My ds could DEFINATELY pass this test easily. Im not sure if I should have him take the test and move right on into 7th grade? I dont see the point in covering material he already knows. I'd love to hear some opinions. thanks
