In Nevada all you need to do is print off a notice of intent (you can get one here ~ http://www.nevadahomeschoolnetwork.com/ ) and mail it to your superintendents office. You do have to send your "educational plan" with it, which can just be a book list you intend to use, or print off the typical course of study from www.worldbook.com for his grade, changing it where you want to. This year I just wrote down which books and resources we intended to order/use for the four required subjects (math, language arts, history, science).

Hi ciranv.
You could try http://www.connectionsacademy.com
It is offered in your state...it is authorized by the Dept of Education...it's free to you because your school district pays for it...they supply books, workbooks, art supplies, computer, printer, etc.
I am in PA and will be enrolling my daughter this month.
Hope this helps!
