Homeschool World Forum

As I am just entering into homeschooling with 2 more to follow my kindergartener, I would love to have a topic for language skills, or at least learning to read. There are so many programs out there, opinions on when best to begin, and even different methods of phonics- e.g.- explicit and implicit. Also, I am sure parents who have been through this stage would have great advice to give as well. Most agree that language skills sets the foundation for learning and to me that makes it something I don't want to skimp.
