Can you recommed a fonts program to practice handwriting, cursive, d'nealian, manuscript....? My son is having a hard time with his penmanship and I was looking for some software.

I haven't worked with anything, but a quick google turned up this list of programs. http://desktoppub.about.com/od/fonteditors/Font_Software_for_Creating_Fonts.htm

Perhaps there's something in there you can use :?:

Thanks, I checked but it does not seem to be for teachers, right?
I am looking for the typical teacher's fonts.

I guess I didn't understand what you meant by "customize fonts".

Are you looking for special fonts that are already designed for teaching handwriting? If so, perhaps this will help you http://desktoppub.about.com/od/fonts/a/writefonts.htm

I looked a little (not a lot) at the fonts referenced in the articles and I didn't see any with arrows. However, you could always use one of the tools from my previous post to update a font to your liking. (Note: Make sure the author of the font you want to modify allows you to create derivative works for yourself. If in doubt, ask the author.)

If all else fails, you can just draw your own with a magic marker / pen and then make copies.
