Sociological Survey...please participate

Postby 4given » Thu May 21, 2009 10:12 am

My 7th grader is conducting a survey (AOP LifePac) which was originally designed to analyze the sort of people that visit a particular store. That is not practical for us, at the moment. Will you take a few minutes to answer 10 questions so he can compile some data to identify who visits the HS World Forum? He needs at least 20 participants. He does not need your name. Thanks in advance.

1. Are you married? How long?

2. How large is your family?

3. How many adults are living in your home?

4. How many children are living in your home?

5. Would you class yourself or the major wage earner in your family as a blue-collar, professional or clerical worker?

6. Is your total family income per year... below $30,000... from $30,000-$50,000... or above $50,000?

7. What kind (make/model should do)of car (or cars) do you drive?

8. Are you a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent or some other party member?

9. Would you classify yourself as conservative, liberal or moderate?

10. How long have you lived at your present address?

Since we haven't had the participation we need to draw anything close to a conclusion or comparison... I have added the poll option. Please consider clicking your mouse on one of the choices. Thanks.

I have sent the responses to you in PM :)
Regardless of how we each choose to educate our children, may they have the most wonderful and fulfilling educational experience possible.

Thank you! :D

The PM option is a great way to keep this anonymous. Good idea!

One down... 19 to go. Anyone?

This probably applies to parents, so I'll answer it the way my parents would.

1. Are you married? How long?

Something like 32 years?

2. How large is your family?

Nine kids.

3. How many adults are living in your home?

Most are elsewhere at work or college, so except during the summer, probably five. I'm assuming that by adult, you mean anyone 18 or older.

4. How many children are living in your home?

Assuming adults are not classified as children as well, two.

5. Would you class yourself or the major wage earner in your family as a blue-collar, professional or clerical worker?

Professional.

6. Is your total family income per year... below $30,000... from $30,000-$50,000... or above $50,000?

Above $50K.

7. What kind (make/model should do)of car (or cars) do you drive?

No idea. We have a big van and a couple smaller cars.

8. Are you a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent or some other party member?

We voted Independent in the primary, Republican for the election. Sadly, Republicans aren't really conservative any more.

9. Would you classify yourself as conservative, liberal or moderate?

Strongly conservative.

10. How long have you lived at your present address?

Around 22 years.

Thanks to those who have participated. We could use 15 more. THat shouldn't be too difficult in this world forum. Just takes a couple of minutes. It is anonymous. If you are still uncomfortable with any particular question(s)... skip it/them.

1. Are you married? How long? Well, not legally. We refer to one another as husband and wife, we've been together 8 years, but have no plans to get married.

2. How large is your family? 3 (me, dad, & son)

3. How many adults are living in your home? 2

4. How many children are living in your home? 1

5. Would you class yourself or the major wage earner in your family as a blue-collar, professional or clerical worker? Hmm... what does tattoo artist fall under? Professional maybe? I'm a homemaker.

6. Is your total family income per year... below $30,000... from $30,000-$50,000... or above $50,000? Below 30,000

7. What kind (make/model should do)of car (or cars) do you drive? We have a 1994 Buick Skylark that is about to bite the dust. Also a 1983 Chevy pick-up that belonged to my husband's great-grandfather, but it doesn't run anymore.

8. Are you a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent or some other party member? Democrat

9. Would you classify yourself as conservative, liberal or moderate? Very liberal.

10. How long have you lived at your present address? 2 years.
