I am personally tired of watching long lectures in movie form. I would much rather have a merging of written explanation and movie, where you can either read through the whole thing and internalize it that way (this is often best for visual learners) and/or watch a movie illustrating what the text says (at least partially auditory). The movies should be no more than say 3-5 minutes per section. And there should be discussion threads on each individual topic, where people viewing the lesson can post, or read what others have posted, or mark an answer as "best". Maybe live chat for each section when and if you have enough people using it so someone is always on. Interaction is key.
