Hi all,
If you live anywhere in eastern North America, and have a child or another young person in your life who is passionate about science & nature, I would love to hear from you! I've recently launched a website, The Pigeon (www.the-pigeon.org), which aspires to be the leading blog, guide, and community for naturalists on our half of the continent. Currently we're looking for "field reporters": young people (18 and under) who are interested in contributing their own writing, photographs, and/or artwork to help us document the natural world in our backyards. This could range from a one-time article to a running sub-blog under the Pigeon's umbrella -- and since the site is brand new, kids who pitch in now are sure to get prominent billing!
Check out the site at the links below, and if you're interested, drop me a line at info@the-pigeon.org! As a homeschooling parent myself, I know there's plenty of brilliant, curious learners out there whose voices need to be more widely heard.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Matt Smith
