Brand new here... am in love with Sonlight's curriculum, and also what I know if the CM method. I'm learning from various websites. Do these two go hand-in-hand like I think they would? I haven't actually read a CM how-to book yet, waiting for my order to come in. I did already get Sonlight's preK for next year though.
Would LOVE you to share your experiences --tips, ideas--with either Sonlight or CM, or both?! Thank you SO much!

Charlotte Mason is a method; Sonlight is a distributor of homeschool materials (they also offer lesson plans, which are quite easy to use.) It seems as though they might be compatible, but actually I don't know as much about CM as I do about SL, though I know people use SL materials as part of many different school styles. The lesson plans make it easy to be quite structured if that's what works best for your family, but the plans are so easy to customize that they worked even for our family, and we're very relaxed. (we just skipped some of the assignments; I even skipped some of the books I felt were over my son's head at the time, and Sonlight encourages their customers to do this in any way that suits them.)

CM works very well when combined with the classical method (a la The Well Trained Mind/Peace Hill Press) It's not so good when combined with a curriculum package that is designed more in the traditional schooling way.
Have you looked at amblesideonline.com or simplycharlottemason.com? The first is an online curriculum guide, the second offers a grid-style guide along with some recommendations for compatible curricula.

Sonlight is more of a literature based unit study.
Winter Promise is similar to Sonlight but has a CM approach. Here's their website

You may also want to take a look at Queen Homeschool Supplies at

She has many CM resources on her site.
Here's some additional info on where to find
Charlotte Mason Resources.
