Have you put any thought into the importance of understanding the law (Black Letter law, meaning the origins of unwritten law, the maxims of law and the like; English common law as it became established in America) as opposed to the statutory "legal system," which seems to operate with impunity in this country?
Those who understand where their rights have originated and how to maintain them are less likely to become encumbered by the current "legal system" in all its tyrannical momentum.
