My son is in 7th grade and I don't know where to begin in developing a curriculum for him. Can anyone recommend a where I can get curriculum and how I can develop a weekly schedule that my wife and I can follow in teaching our son?

Thanks!

You can buy a pre-packaged curriculum where everything is laid out for you. (all subjects for 7th grade) Or you can put your own curriculum together. Pre-packaged ones can be pretty expensive. If you put it together yourself, you can save quite a bit of money. You can buy used items, use the public library, and take advantage of the many free resources available online.

Before you make a decision, it's a good idea to read some reviews.

If you decide to put everything together yourself, you can look at a scope and sequence - which is a list that tells you everything your son needs to know for 7th grade. Here are some links.

I love to order curriculum from Rainbow Resource. They have a huge selection and low prices. They also have product reviews.

As far as a schedule, it is really just whatever works best for your family. With homeschooling, you have the flexibility to do it any way you like. Your son can even do work in the evenings or on weekends if needed.

I highly recommend Teaching Textbooks for math. We've been using it for years with much success. The programs come with solutions cds so your son will always be able to understand why he missed a problem.
