I have been looking at spelling programs and am trying to figure out the differences between Spelling to read and write, The Phonics Road and All About Spelling.

Has anyone used these programs and can you tell me your experience or any differences in them?

We used AAS this year. DS is in second grade, but is not a very good speller, so I looked and looked and decided to try AAS. We started out with Volume 1. He did it in less than 2 months. Now I'm not sure if we'll continue with that program or not, as he didn't seem to like using the tiles, which seems to be one of the biggest things about that program. I do like the way the lists are laid out for you and the rules explained. There is review/repetition with it, too. I'm just not sure if it's really worth the money for my son since he doesn't care for the tiles. :?
