What grade level are you looking at? Do you need to teach your child to read or just build comprehension skills?

The A Beka readers for grades 1 and up contain comprehension questions. They also have a Read and Think program for grades 3 and up that is made up of weekly timed comprehension drills.

I don't know if this will be any help but thought I'd post anyway:

http://www.mindsprinting.com

It's a reading excellence program K-3 and reading comprehension 3-12. My 9th grader just tested out of the program so I can't tell you how good it is but DD's enjoying the math program from there. (:

Now that Book Adventure is gone, the only reading program like AR for homeschools is ReadnQuiz (https://readnquiz.com/homeschool.aspx).

Thanks for the tip, ReadingFamily! Sounds like the kind of program we wish would advertise on our website. Maybe you can suggest it to them? Our advertising contact form is here:

What grade are you considering? Does your child need to learn to read, or can they merely improve their comprehension?

There are comprehension problems in the A Beka readers for grades 1 and up. For students in grades 3 and higher, they also offer the Read and Think program, which consists of weekly comprehension drills that are timed.

I recommend checking out Beestar's ELA reading. To reinforce language arts skills, Beestar's ELA Reading program may include grammar exercises and activities. This could involve learning and practicing proper grammar usage, sentence structure, and other language conventions. The program likely includes assessments to evaluate students' progress and understanding of the material. Feedback provided after assessments can be valuable in guiding further learning.
