www.funbrain.com is great, is has all kinds of games, some of them educational and some just arcade games.
www.activitypad.com has some games, but they might be too young.
http://games.funschool.com/games, has games for pre-k through 6th.

I can't wait to hear others discoveries.

Scholastic has some great activities both on and off-line:

Here are some of our favorite websites:

1. www.peepandthebigwideworld.com - this is free and focuses on science

2. www.noggin.com - might be a little young for a second grader

3. www.nickjr.com

4. Time4Learning.com - this one costs roughly $20 a month or you can pay a flat fee for a year. I actually use this to supplement our homeschool. They have scope and sequenced lessons in language arts, math, science, and social studies. They even keep grades and have a fun section with games. We love it. It is not a complete curriculum but my kids do learn from it. It is totally protected from the web and that is a big plus for me.

5. www.crayola.com

Hope you enjoy these!!

Blessings, Robin

My daughter lives on www.neopets.com

It is a great site and I find myself playing some of the games :) I think this site combines fun with alot of real life learning that our kids do not even know they are doing. For example earning "neopoints" and tending to a bank account at the neopian bank. Thats just an example. Check it out parents. It really is an awesome site.

Twoods and Cry -Through neopets my dd developed an inerest in learning html/webpage design, for that I am thankful to neopets. They recently, however, banned her original account and have offered little help as to why. They claim she either fell for a scam or she went somewhere she wasn't suppose to - she denied this and still doesn't have access to an account she has worked hard on for a couple/few years.

Here is my contribution for a good learning site for 2nd graders (or any grade for that matter). I have my 2nd grader visit it on occasion. I also own Alfred's music theory on cd - this and Alfred's are very similar.

www.brainpop.com

It has several videos that are free. To have full access, it is $10 per month. It is great to supplement nearly any unit.
