MFW for history, but not LA?

I am thinking of using MFW for just history and bible, but not language arts. I know that they are all entwined, so I am wondering if there are certain books that I would not have to buy or what your recommendations for doing it this way would be? I want to purchase what I will be needing soon, so as to get the best discount possible, but I also don't want to be buying more stuff than I need.
