Please share any info you have. I've got a teen interested in this. I have NO experience in any of this. I don't even like sports. LOL.

Requirements for academic scholarships and participation can vary widely by sport and division, whether NCAA, NAIA, or community college. Most schools recruit for athletic participation and scholarship, so your student would need to be "seen" by scouts or coaches. It is also sometimes possible to walk on then gain a scholarship, although this is less common.

What sport does your son/daughter play?
What kind of experience does your student have in the sport he/she is interested in?
Are there particular schools he/she is considering?
What division/league is he/she most likely to play in?

The answers to these questions can help narrow down the possibilities.
