Hi everyone! My name is Ashley. I am a blessed momma of a 2 year old with a son due in October I have been home with my daughter for a year now after having taught 5th grade for 3 years. I loved teaching and feel my experiences, good and bad in the public schools, will hopefully serve me well as I start my homeschooling journey. I have been loosely teaching my daughter the basics but am wondering when others have started a strict curriculum? My daughter is 2 years and 4 months.
Anyway, nice to meet you all, and look forward to learning from you!!

Re: Hello!
Welcome.
Generally, when children are so young, I recommend reading books about homeschooling in general, rather than looking for "curriculum." This site has a ton of helpful articles to get you started.

Thank you! I look forward to checking everything out.
Re: Hello!
As Ellie said, our site has lots of help for you!
Start here, with our Preschool area:
http://www.home-school.com/preschool/
Then continue on to our "Getting Started" section. That mostly applies for when you have to begin meeting state requirements, which never happens until your child is at least 5, and in some states 6, or even 7!
