Homeschooling in Michigan

Postby sunshinejanie » Tue Oct 16, 2012 5:09 pm

I homeschooled my daughter last year. This year she wanted to return to a public school so, thats what we did. The school wont recognize the fact that she completed last year at home and are making her repeat the grade. What can I do?

Not a thing. You're at the school's mercy.

You could try refusing to allow your dd to repeat a grade she already completed, and complain loudly all the way to the top of the school board.

But legally, the school has the right to do that.
