Very new to homeschooling and the laws of California

Postby OrangeHope » Sun Apr 15, 2012 9:42 pm

I would really like to homeschool my DD and I have googled the homeschooling laws of California but I'm not really sure I understand...

Do I need to notify the state that I will be homeschooling my DD? do I need to fill out a paper asking for permission to homeschool?
If not, then do I just pick out a curriculum and start there?

Sorry these questions might sound silly but I'm so new to all this :) if anyone can please clear this up for me that would be great.
