Homeschooing in Italy at age 4??

Hi all,

I need your help.
My son currently visits a homeschool kindergarten. I do not teach him at home, but we have an association of mothers where he is taught together with other children. But considering law it is a homeschool. Are we allowed to let my son go to the elementary school at the age of 4? Do they get problems? In the state schools it is not allowed. Can we just do it? At home nobody coud even control it. He began to read and write and does not want to go to the kindergarten any more.
Thanks for the answer.
Best regards
Lillifee

Depends on the school, I'd guess - how good they are about placing children according to ability. There's nothing specific to your situation in the law as far as I know.

Thank you

for your answer. Meanwhile I talked to the school and they simply do not want him because they underestimate him, as he does not yet speak very much Italian (but learns quickly). So they do not want to discuss the subject anymore and stuff him into the kindergarden. grmpffffffff.
Thank you and best regards
