Register in your state OR home of record state?

Just wondering if you have to register in the state you are living or if you can stay registered in the state that is your home of record? Would be so easy if we didn't have to switch every few years!

I would guess that whichever state you're paying taxes to would be the one that applies. Does your official residence stay in one place or move with you?

I *think* we pay takes in the state of our home of record. We do move from state to state every few years with being in the military. Know of any specific laws that apply to military HSers where you stay registered in your home of record and follow that state laws instead of the one you're in? The more I think about it, I can't imagine how that would work!

Overseas you fall under DoD schools which require nothing.
You go with where you live even overseas.
