I think your son would greatly benefit from homeschooling. You can join a homeschool support group in your area and he can make new friends. This will be positive socialization. Here are a few links that might be helpful:

I agree with what's been said.

Socialisation might help your son's disorders, but clearly the classroom socialisation is not helping at all.

With homeschooling, he won't be forced to sit in a room of other children all day, which might be part of the problem--perhaps he is becoming overwhelmed. You can choose how much he socialises, and build it up in a way he is comfortable with. Best of all, through a homeschool co-op or support group, it can be positive socialisation.

The classroom isn't working. Find out what you need to do and try something else. Hopefully you can find something that will be the best for your son.

Hi AnnK,
I am fully agreed that your son need special treatment which is only possible in home school. Disability make difference where they need extra care. To get extra attention home school is the best one. Private school are strict and follow the law which is good part, if your son is not enough to follow those things then don't put extra burden on him.
